How to I Become a Volunteer
1. All Glenhope Volunteers must complete a background check. These can be done online. When your application is approved, GCISD will notify the school office and your information will be entered in the database.
2. You will then need to fill out a volunteer information form. These are available on the website, the pta bulletin board, or the school office. This form shows all of the volunteer opportunities at Glenhope. This form can be turned in via your child's backpack. Once it is submitted, it will be turned over to the volunteer coordinator. Your name will then be forwarded to the teacher or chair of the volunteer opportunity.
3. Mandatory Volunteer Orientation- At the beginning of each school year, two orientations are offered. During this orientation you will learn all policies and sign a volunteer oath. If you miss this meeting, information is also available at the school office.
One of the most important things you can do is volunteer. It shows your child you care and are interested. There are many ways to help and some can be done at home. Anyone can volunteer, including grandparents!
